VESSEL HOUSE

A collector’s home displays his passion for art, music, furniture, mid-century architecture and nature. The abstract concept of masonry walls and floating roof volumes help frame views of the lake, as well as back on to the house. Inspired by the case study homes of the 40s and 50s, this house is equal parts residence and museum. The deeper rich material palette of brick, wood, copper and stone are balanced by the abundant daylight and indirect lighting design.
